A few weeks ago during Intersession, I taught my students about Quest Atlantis. "What is Quest Atlantis?" you may be asking yourself. Quest Atlantis is educational gaming. It requires students (and teachers) to log in to a virtual world and solve quests, missions, and units. The teacher can assign specific quests to support and enhance the learning that is going on in the classroom. My students LOVED playing Quest Atlantis. The very first day they asked me if they could play from home. Of course I said "Yes!" They made plans to meet online in the evenings. They came in excited every day. It was a very exciting 2 weeks of learning. For more information about Quest Atlantis, go to http://www.atlantisremixed.org.
It's important that you realize it is heavy in the reading department. Even the Math quests have a lot of reading. It's great for the kids to be exposed to everything that Quest Atlantis has to offer. I have a couple screenshots listed below.

As you can see, the teacher can talk with the students.
The students are very excited when they see their teacher online.
The students can talk with each other and can be very polite to each other.
